Position Overview



Housing Available (limited)


The Town of Vail is now hiring for the Parks Maintenance and Cleaning crew. This position will perform all aspects of summer parks and landscape maintenance activities throughout the Town of Vail with specific focus on cleanliness and upkeep of the parks and their restrooms.  They may be assigned to perform specific functions within the Parks & Landscape Division (i.e. flowerbed maintenance, park maintenance, irrigation, etc.).


Job duties will include:

  • Clean and maintain restrooms
  • Refill toilet paper, hand towels, soap
  • General cleaning of floors
  • Check and clean playground area
  • Patrol parking lot area for debris
  • Keep all pedestrian areas, stairs, sidewalks, walk paths clean
  • Stock dog bag dispensers
  • Assist other crews when time allows
  • Park area sweeping and trash removal
  • Safety inspection and playground surface maintenance


Seasonal dates: May- mid October


Skills / Requirements

Vail is a guest service oriented and resort destination community. We realize that to set the standard for world-class alpine resorts, our employees make all the difference!  That is why we are looking for passionate individuals who strive for excellence in all that they do.  Qualified applicants will meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of basic related experience or equivalent
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CO. driver’s license
  • Ability to do general cleaning
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Ability to use small tools and operate small tools
  • Good customer service skills
  • Conversational English speaking skills.
  • Position requires heavy lifting, standing, bending, and kneeling for up to 10 hours a day.
  • Acceptable driving record required.


All positions have exposure to outdoors in all weather conditions and all types of equipment noise, traffic, dust, chemicals and fumes.


Must commit to work the entire season, and be able to work any shift including holidays and weekends.
