Position Overview

Join Our Team as a Parking Enforcement Officer!

$22.00 - $25.06 DOE

 

 

 

Are you passionate about ensuring smooth traffic flow and parking management? Do you thrive in roles that blend responsibility with community engagement? We're looking for a dedicated Parking Enforcement Officer to join our dynamic team in the beautiful Town of Vail!

  • Monitor all lots and issue citations as needed.
  • Enforce signed parking areas and ordinances.
  • Aid the Municipal Court in projects relating to the parking department, including court appearances for disputed parking citations.
  • Place traffic cones, signs and use other tools to help with wayfinding, messaging, traffic control, and other aids in traffic control and parking management.
  • Address safety issues. 
  • Acquire and maintain flagger certification for duration of employment in this position.  (Offered through employment)
  • Assist guests with questions and problems.
  • Acknowledge guests in a friendly and helpful manner, making yourself approachable.
  • Serve the citizens and guests of the Town of Vail by abiding by all Town of Vail core values.
  • Cross training will be required in different positions of the department, i.e. booth, host, maintenance, etc
  • Perform job in accordance with all Town of Vail safety practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Address safety concerns.
  • Be proficient with computer and different operating systems.
  • Deliver great customer service.
  • Enforcing parking ordinances in a fair and ethical manner.
  • Be productive in an autonomous position while seeking direction from those your report to.

 

In addition they must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

 

Schedule / Shifts

  • Must be willing to adjust to variable schedules including weekends and holidays.
