Position Overview

Parking Enforcement 

 

$22.12 - $28.00 Per Hour DOE

 

Parking Enforcement duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor all lots and issue citations as needed.
  • Perform a variety of field and office work in support of the parking department.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of enforcement actions and other job related activities.
  • Be approachable and visible to guests with an emphasis on great guest service.
  • Assist guests with questions and problems as necessary.
  • Enforce parking permits issued by the parking department.
  • Support the Municipal Court, Police Department, and other Town of Vail departments as directed.
  • Provide traffic control when needed.  Flagger certification will be required and provided by the Town of Vail.
  • Utilize traffic control devices such as traffic cones and signs where necessary, to help maintain traffic control.
  • Sets up guest informational signs.
  • Assist with special events.
  • Obtains car counts and other information or data.
  • Clean and maintain areas as directed.
  • Serve the citizens and guests of the Town of Vail by abiding by all Town of Vail core values.
  • Perform job in accordance with all Town of Vail safety practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

  • Have the ability to record and deliver information, explain procedures, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Be skilled at communicating with different audiences in a simple, clear, and concise manner.
  • Have the ability to remain calm and effectively de-escalate situation.
  • Be proficient with computer and different operating systems.
  • Deliver great customer service.
  • Be comfortable enforcing parking ordinances in a fair and ethical manner.
  • Be productive in an autonomous position while finding direction from those your report to.

 

In addition they must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Schedule /Shifts:
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
