We are seeking a highly motivated professional, ideally at the Engineer II or III level, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality public works projects that embody innovation, excellence, and sustainability.

Depending on level and experience, your work will include:

  • Leading or assisting with the design and management of capital projects—from concept to completion—such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, and trail improvements.

  • Overseeing contract administration, construction quality control, and project budgets ranging from $5,000 to over $15 million.

  • Reviewing private development plans and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and other government agencies.

  • Preparing technical specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications (CDOT, USACE, CDPHE).

  • Providing engineering expertise and innovation to achieve collaborative solutions that enhance the Town’s infrastructure and community character.

  • Presenting to boards, commissions, and the public, and maintaining strong relationships across Town departments and external partners.

  • Staying current with emerging engineering practices and maintaining professional development.

Engineer I:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent Construction Management experience).

  • Entry-level or early-career engineer with foundational project design and inspection experience.

Engineer II:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and several years of relevant experience.

  • Proficient in project design, management, and coordination with consultants and contractors.

  • Demonstrates growing leadership and independent judgment in engineering decision-making.

Engineer III / Senior Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 5–10+ years of progressively responsible experience.

  • Colorado PE license (or ability to obtain within 2 months).

  • Proven success managing complex infrastructure projects and budgets.

  • Skilled in public presentations, interagency coordination, and collaborative problem solving.
