Public Works Administrative Technician
Hiring Range: $30.58/hour - $38.23/hour (Depending On Experience)
Salary Range: $30.58/hour - $45.88/hour
The Town of Vail is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support the Public Works Department, including Transportation, Engineering, Streets, Parks, Facilities, Landscaping, and Art in Public Places (AIPP).
This vital role provides high-level administrative and financial support, manages purchasing and payroll processes, oversees departmental programs, and serves as the first point of contact for employees and the public. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel), payroll/timekeeping systems, purchasing software, and records management platforms (LaserFiche preferred).
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to exercise sound judgment.
Education, Experience and Certificates
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field preferred.
3–5 years of administrative experience required.
Experience supporting payroll, purchasing, or finance preferred.
Valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
